Hello,
I am Chef Blandino. I teach Culinary 1, 2 & 3. I am very excited for the year ahead.
Things to expect in Culinary 1, 2 &3:
Culinary 1 is an intro class where you will be learning basic culinary skills and serve safe sanitation. This class is designed to teach and refine kitchen skills and prepare you for the culinary industry. We will begin by focusing on safety, sanitation, and equipment. We will learn how to read and convert recipes, learn new knife skills, and professional cooking techniques. Students can find assignments and keep up with missing work through Google classroom.
Culinary 2 is a second level class for culinary. In this class you will be honing skills previously learned from Culinary 1 as well as learning new skills and techniques. This class will teach the students how to operate in a professional kitchen and they will learn new recipes from around the world.
Culinary 3 is the thrid level course that will allow the students the opprtunity to to become certified as a Sevsafe food safety manager. This course goes more in depth into culinary skills and techniques. The class will "travel" the world and learn about many cultures and their foods. In this course the requirements and expecations are high then both previous courses. This final course of the culinary journey is preparing you for a career in this field.
Each student is required to join the Google classroom to keep up with work. I will send out all important information and reminders through this platform. Parents feel free to join as well, this is a great way for you and your student to keep in touch with me.
