Classroom Rules:

  BE RESPECTFUL         Treat others as you’d like to be treated.  Putcell phones and ear buds away.

   

   

   

  BE SAFE                      Know evacuation routes and drill plans and follow directions.

   

 

Homework:  Homework will be assigned as needed.  It may not be every night, but will usually be assigned Monday through Thursday.  Homework at home reinforces what has been learned in class and gives the student an opportunity to obtain additional help the following day during class. If it is assigned it is VERY IMPORTANT that it is completed the best he/she can and to bring any difficult problems in the next day for clarification.

Being prepared:  Math binder/ folder, math notebook, any assignments, charged laptop and a pencil must be brought to class EVERY day.

 Attendance:  Attendance is very important. The program emphasizes a great deal of pair work and student participation. Class work is a major part of the grade. To achieve maximum success, it is of utmost importance for each student to be present. Any extended absences should be avoided.

Absent:  If your student is absent, he/she will need to check the absent folder first thing upon his/her return to get any assignments he/she missed. It is his/her responsibility!! He/she will have as many days as he/she was absent to make up the work.

Assignments:  They are to be handed in on the day that they are due.  Late work will deduct 5 points per day with a maximum score of 50 after 10 days.  It is the student's responsibility to seek missed assignments and to turn them in within the time frame of their absence.

Expectations:
Enter classroom quietly and quickly.
Be prepared, with math folder, agenda, pencil, & assignments.
Think.
Listen.
Follow directions the first time they are given.
Complete all assignments, (class work, homework, projects, etc.)
Follow ALL school rules.
Give 100% at all times.

Procedures:
Be seated and ready to start on time.
When you hear the teacher’s voice:
- Stop what you are doing.
- Turn and face the teacher.
- Pay attention and be ready for instruction.
Use proper heading on all papers (name, date, period, & assignment).
Check “Absent Day” folder when absent.
Use Plastic Yellow bathroom pass and smartpass to use the bathroom.

Cell phones should be silenced and away

Ear buds should not be in ears
End the period/day with TEACHER dismissal.
