CP US History II

 

Textbook/Required Materials:

The American Vision textbook

All students will be required to have a notebook. Notes will be taken on a daily basis. Students may organize their notebook any way they choose.

 

 

Overview of Course:

The focus for this course will be United States History from the 1900s to the present. We will explore what changes have taken place in the last 100 years. Students will discover the importance of learning history and how it can help them in their future careers.

 

 

EXPECTATIONS:

  1. Students are expected to be on time to class.
  2. Students are not to use cell phones, earbuds, or air pods during class unless given permission.
  3. Come to class prepared everyday.
  4. Complete all assignments and assessments.
  5. Receive a 65% or better to receive credit for this class. There are two marking periods (45% each) and a final exam (10%).
  6. 6.    Late policy – You are expected to turn all assignments in on time. Late assignments may only receive partial credit. Exceptions will be made only in extenuating circumstances. Late assignments may be penalized 5 points for every day late. Students will have one day for each day absent to turn in makeup work.

 

 

GRADING SCALE:

Assignments – 60%                            

Assessments – 40%
