           WELCOME! I am April Pang and I am the art teacher at Millville Memorial High School.   In Art, I believe in giving my students more freedom to explore, allowing them to make mistakes, and "fix" or "change" rather than start over.  Many art teachers may choose product over process but I feel that without learning to get through the process the product will never be their own but an imitation of the teacher's mind. With this direction students have a better chance to create a unique design expressing their budding individuality.

 Students learn early on about the aesthetic quality in artwork.  There is no such word as "ugly" in the ART room!  When something doesn't come out quite the way they expected we turn it into something new.  Like I tell all of my students..."TURN THAT LINE INTO A DESIGN!!" 

It is my hope that our children will learn to think on their own, create from the inside out, become more confident, become less afraid to "mess up", and make positive choices that reflect who they are.
