Grading Policy
Pre-Calc:
Grades will be determined on a percentage basis as follows
Tests 30%
Quizzes 30%
Classwork/Homework 40%
Tests: Tests will usually be given at the end of each chapter. They will be announced at least two days in advance. In the event of an absence on or before a test day, see Classroom Policies #3.
Quizzes: There will generally be two or three quizzes per chapter. They will be done in class. Students are permitted to use their notes for all quizzes. In the event of an absence on or before a test day, see Classroom Policies #3.
Homework: Homework can be assigned as an online assignment or a written assignment. Online assignments will be automatically graded and submitted to teacher. Written homework will be spot-checked for its completeness at the beginning of class. If the assignment is fully attempted you will receive a 100% for that assignment. If it is at least half done, it is a 50%. Less than half completed will be a 0%. If you make up a homework assignment, it is your responsibility to show it to the teacher. You must show all the work to receive credit. Only assignments turned in the day they are due will receive full credit. Assignments will not be accepted more than one day late. Late assignments will be half credit.
Classwork: Students will be told when an assignment will be counted as a classwork grade.

How to Pass Geometry
-Do your work every day
-Complete work that you missed in a timely manner
-Keep all worksheets organized by topic
-Your notes and worksheets can be used on the quizzes
If I am absent always turn work into the substitute, finished or not, do not wait for the substitute to ask
for it you are responsible for turning in the assignment. If you do not turn it in you have a zero for the
classwork that day.
